FUTA representatives meet opposition leader to air woes

Representatives of the Federation of University Teachers’ Associations (FUTA ) yesterday met with opposition leader Sajith Premadasa. The meeting took place at the opposition leader’s office in Colombo.

The meeting was focused on many issues plaguing the higher education system in Sri Lanka while it also focused on the mass exodus of professionals in the country due to the current economic situation.

The group of representatives also informed the opposition leader of the many unfilled vacancies in the university system. The exorbitant tax hike was also discussed at the meeting.
