It added that a directive was issued in this regard subsequently from 26 January under provisions of the Human Rights Commission Act No. 21 of 1996.

The HRCSL accordingly filed the case over the failure to respond to the directive and the failure to enforce the undertaking and the charge of acting against the HRCSL and disrespecting the Commission.
