Egypt President congratulates Ranil; commits to further boost bilateral ties

Al Sisi has congratulated Ranil Wickremesinghe over his appointment as the President and expressed his desire to further boost bilateral ties.

Following is the full text of the congratulatory message by the Egyptian President.

“It gives me immense pleasure to extend to Your Excellency my sincerest congratulations and best wishes on your swearing-in as President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, wishing you all success in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of your friendly people.

It is my conviction that your election to this high office reflects the confidence in your ability to lead your country forward towards further progress and prosperity.

“I avail myself of this opportunity to express my interest in further strengthening the bilateral ties between our two friendly countries to advance our common interests and ensure a more prosperous future for our friendly peoples.
