Nippon Paint 3-in-1 MediFresh covers several healthcare facilities across Sri Lanka

InnOVaTIVE global leader in paint, nippon Paint, recently initiated a campaign to galvanise healthcare facilities around Sri Lanka with its latest product 3-in-1 mediFresh which is an antibacterial coating developed with Silver and Zinc ions to keep diseasecausing microorganisms at bay.

The project to insulate hospitals around the country was initiated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Colombo and has since expanded to several key cities across the country.

The product has been clinically proven to provide protection from disease-causing viruses as per extensive research carried out by two reputed laboratories in Singapore: Productivity & Standards Board (PSB) and

TÜV SÜD PSB. given the positive outcome, the paint has been dubbed the ‘third layer of protection’ against viral diseases, behind masking and vaccination.

Commenting on the product and its reception in Sri Lanka, nippon Lanka Paint general manager nemantha abeysinghe noted: “We are proud to be one of the first paint manufacturers globally to introduce a unique product going beyond the cosmetic and aesthetic functions of paint. 3-in-1 mediFresh has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the local market so far given that it is easy to use and can be applied over a wide range of surfaces without having to remove the existing layer of paint.”

He added that this product was recommended for healthcare facilities, schools, public and private organisations as well as residences: “Based on available research, it is evident that this product can offer protection from a few different types of disease-causing pathogens; 3-in-1 mediFresh eliminates the need for constant disinfecting which is a costly, time-consuming and labour-intensive process.”

3-in-1 medi Fresh is an acrylic elastomeric coating for interior use which protects the environment from many types of bacteria like mRSa, E-COLI and Staphylococcus aureus – for inhibition of asthma, flu and diarrhoea, etc. The product is waterproof, and covers hairline cracks.
