Abans donates LG anti-virus dual cool inverter air conditioners to Meethotamulla COVID care centre

ABANS recently launched the ‘Pivithuru Husmak – saukkyarakshitha Hetak’ initiative by donating lG anti-virus dual cool inverter air conditioners to the Meethotamulla intermediate Care Centre operating under the national Hospital of Colombo, to help in the fight against the CoViD-19 pandemic in sri lanka.

The donation program took place on 7 september at the Abans elite showroom, Kollupitiya. Abans elite showroom Kollupitiya Manager shehan buhari officially handed over the air conditioners to Rotary Club of sri Jayewardenepura President Dr. Dhammika Adhikariwattage. Conducted at the special request of Dr. Thushara Mathiwalage, who is in charge of the Public Health Unit and CoViD19 Coordinator – Colombo national Hospital, this donation aims to increase the provision of modern facilities to the health services as urgently required to cope with the CoViD-19 pandemic.

Abans carried out a similar project previously under the title of ‘Pivithuru Husmak – saukkyarakshitha Hetak’, by donating lG anti-virus dual cool inverter air conditioners which were installed in the general wards, intensive care units and operating theatres of selected hospitals in the Anuradhapura district.

The health authorities expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the timely and immense support received by Abans during the CoViD-19 pandemic, as they stated how important donations were to improve the safety and hygienic conditions of hospital wards, intensive care units and operating theatres with state-of-the-art facilities to battle against the coronavirus.
